I'm raising funds at school!

Oxley Primary School with the support of the local community are raising funds to support the Ronald McDonald House Charity which provides free (donations accepted) accommodation for families who find themselves supporting children in hospital, in particular those in need of the specialists at the Royal Children's Hospital in Melbourne. This is a particularly valuable resource for those of us who live in regional Australia as we would otherwise have no choice but to spend large amounts on accommodation or travel great distances; just to be close to our children in hospital in an emergency. It's a service we hope we never have to utilise, but is priceless in the moment we might unexpectantly need it.

The Booth Family are so grateful for the availability of this service which allowed them to be just a 5minute walk from the Royal Children's Hospital in December, when saying farewell to their daughter Imogen who passed away just after Christmas. The room allowed them to be close to the hospital and together as a family through the whole experience; and to even create fond memories during one of the toughest times of their life.
