I’m supporting the families of sick and injured kids

When a child is diagnosed with a serious illness, it can have a devastating impact on the entire family. As well as the uncertainty and fear, there is added stress for families who don’t live close to the medical care their child needs.

That’s why I’m raising funds in lieu of gifts, to support the families who rely on Ronald McDonald House Charities Victoria & Tasmania.

I’m committed to raising vital funds to ensure families have access to the comfort, care, and support they need during the toughest of times.

Thursday 7th Aug
This isn’t something we really talk about, but little Austin didn’t have the easiest of starts to life. Within a few hours he was taken to special care due to some complications. Mum was also dealing with some complications of her own which meant those first few days didn’t go quite the way we planned.

As a new dad, all I could do was listen to the doctors and nurses and trust they were both in good hands. The nurses at Monash special care really made this process bearable. 

I was lucky though. We were close to home, Austin was in good hands, and Maddy was on the mend too. 

That’s not the case for everyone though and some new parents have to deal with being there for their kids and still have to think about having somewhere to sleep, sometimes with no clear end in sight for their little ones.

That’s why, for Austin’s 1st birthday, he’s not asking for any gifts. Instead, he would love for any and all possible donations to the Ronald McDonald House Charity. Austin’s got everything he needs now and is doing fantastic; a donation to RMHC helps families that are not so lucky have a little less to worry about at the worst time in their life.

We’d truly appreciate any donations possible.
